HAYS, Kan. -- Students at Fort Hays State University will again have the opportunity meet employers, check out career opportunities and possibly find an internship or job at the university's Career Day this fall.
Career Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in Gross Memorial Coliseum.
All students, alumni and faculty are welcome to attend. In addition to meeting prospective employers, students will have the chance to explore different career options and possible internships. More than 50 employers will attend. Because of the Teacher Career Fair held in the spring, no school districts will be represented. However, education majors are still encouraged to attend.
Students will gain knowledge of job possibilities and will learn what skills are required to obtain desired jobs. Career Day takes place twice a year. Although many of the same employers attend both sessions, Career Services suggests attending both in order to leave a lasting impression.
Career Services encourages students to wear professional dress and bring several résumés to leave with potential employers.
