Women in STEM celebration set for Monday

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics make up the acronym for STEM, and at Fort Hays State University the American Association of University Women and a group of female educators are gathering to celebrate women in the STEM fields from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, in the Cody Commons of the Memorial Union.
Panelists speaking at the event are Dr. Laura Wilson, assistant professor of geoscience; Dr. Melissa Hunsicker Walburn, assistant professor of informatics and interim chair of the department; Dr. Loretta Dorn, associate professor of chemistry; and Angela Walters, associate professor of informatics. Moderator of the event is Dr. Kim Perez, associate professor of history.
