Seven Fort Hays State University Tiger athletes will participate in the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships in Allendale, Mich., beginning today.
A highlight for the Black and Gold will be the women's javelin throw, where three Tigers will be competing for All-American honors, awarded to the top eight finishers in each event. FHSU will feature the No. 1 javelin thrower in Division II this spring in Estefania Lopez, a junior from Valencia, Spain. Lopez's top throw of 169 feet, 7 inches broke the FHSU school record earlier this season.
