Four FHSU music ensembles featured at Kansas Music Educators Association workshop


HAYS, Kan. – Music ensembles from Fort Hays State University’s Department of Music and Theatre were invited to perform at the recent Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service workshop at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita.

The groups were selected through a CD audition.

“It is a rare and high honor to be selected to perform for the entire state's music educators,” said Dr. Terry Crull, associate professor of music.

The ensembles were:

  • • FHSU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Jeff Jordan, associate professor of music.
  • • Fort Hays Singers, conducted by Crull.
  • • FHSU’s JAZZ I, directed by Brad Dawson, assistant professor of music.
  • • FHSU Clarinet Choir, directed by Dr. Kristin Pisano, associate professor of music.
