Ji Soo is an international relations scholar whose research focuses on international cooperation, climate change politics, and subnational climate action. Her work examines how governments respond to climate vulnerability and how domestic stakeholders shape different approaches to addressing climate change.
She received her B.A. from the University of Washington, her master’s degree from Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies, and her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Ji Soo especially enjoys connecting with students and welcomes conversations beyond the classroom. Students are always encouraged to stop by her office in Rarick Hall 313 to ask questions, chat, or simply say hello.
Outside of academia, Ji Soo enjoys visiting her sister’s family and spending time with her niece and nephew. She is also a big Korean baseball fan and enjoys following the KBO League.
