The Political Science Program at FHSU has several unique characteristics and advantages relative to other programs and disciplines.
- At $242.76 per credit hour for undergraduates and $319.45 per credit hour for graduate students, our programs are much more affordable than other options, which sometimes charge two or three times more per credit hour.
- With two undergraduate degrees, four career focused learning certificates, and five graduate degree concentrations, students have a wide variety of engaging options that help advance their personal and professional goals.
- Four-week, five-week, eight-week, and sixteen-week course offerings allow students to learn at a pace that works for them and their schedule.
- Hands-on learning experiences such as internships, Model United Nations, and the American Democracy Project assist students in cultivating a professional network.
- Online and in-person students have the same collection of dedicated professors providing mentorship throughout one's program of study.
- The Program was created in 1937. Since then, the program has been distinguished by graduating over 1,400 alumni who have won innumerable campus and nationwide awards for outstanding leadership.
- The program’s quality is constantly being improved by the inclusion of business skills necessary to manage and operate contemporary organizations and technologies.
