Whether you pursue an academic program focused on counseling, education, research or one that prepares you to enter the business world, you’ll take classes from caring, mentoring professionals. We have substantial student resources for undergraduate and graduate students, including a Learning Community, research resources and student organizations.

As an undergraduate in psychology, you’ll not only learn theory in the classroom, you’ll get to take part in research as early as your first year (in fact, this year a group of Freshmen psychology students presented research at the regional American Psychological Association).

As a graduate student in psychology, you have the opportunity to actively collaborate with faculty mentors on research, fine-tune your clinical skills with highly skilled practitioners and take advantage of teaching assistantships and other financial aid.

When you study psychology at FHSU, you’ll pursue a rigorous curriculum that’s not just theory-based, but also steeped in experiential learning. That means that upon graduation, you’ll have a solid foundation in the science of mental processes as well as the skills employers are looking for—skills you’ve honed through enriched, applied experiences. Check out our recent graduate success stories and see what we’re up to.
