Describe Your Research

My research project focused on the relationship between climate social vulnerability and asthma in Wichita, KS, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What was it like sharing your research?

I have been fortunate enough to present at SACAD twice and it has been the best experience both times. The students and faculty that stop by your poster are actively engaging with you and research by asking you questions, and listening to what it is that you are saying.

What are your future career goals?

I have accepted fully funded PhD position at Texas State University and I will be attending in the fall of 2023. I plan on getting my PhD in Geography, and after I graduate I hope to become a professor, and teach the subject that I love.

Why should other students get involved in research?

You CAN do research. Many students including myself may not believe that they are capable to do research but that is not the case. Being involved in research allows you to pursue your interests, to learn something new, to hone in one on your problem solving skills, and to challenge yourself in new ways. For these reasons I would encourage students to be a part of research groups.
