ROAR+ Campus Kickoff
This is an invite only extended orientation event during FHSU Campus Kickoff. This opportunity is designed to help you feel welcomed, supported, and fully prepared as you begin your journey at Fort Hays State University!
By participating in ROAR+, you will be able to move in early (Wednesday August 12th, connect with other students, and begin building a strong foundation for a successful first semester. Our staff and student leaders will guide you through activities and conversations that will help you feel confident and informed as you transition into college life.
During ROAR+ you will:

Settle into campus early and get comfortable with your new environment

Meet other students who are also beginning their college journey

Learn about campus resources that can support your academic and personal goals

Set goals and develop a plan for success during your first semester

Ask questions, explore opportunities, and begin building your community

Wednesday August 12th
8am – noon: ROAR+ Move-in (McMindes)
5pm Campus Kick off- Challenge Check-in @ Gross Memorial Coliseum
Food:(Pizza, Salad, Cookies/Brownies, Snacks – popcorn, cotton candy)
5:30pm Games/Competition
7pm Award Winning Teams
Thursday August 13th
8:30am - 9am: Check-in @ Tebo Library
9 – 9:20am: Welcome from an FHSU Faculty Member
9:30 – 11:10am: Finances and college mentality Sessions
10 min. Break
11:20 – 12:05pm: Goal setting, What is your Why?
12:05pm – 1: Lunch - Tebo Library with Student Panel
1 – 1:45pm: Health and Wellness Session
1:45pm: Closing Remarks
2pm: Event Ends
