Provost's Internationalization of the Campus or Curriculum Award
Eligibility: Any full-time faculty or unclassified or classified staff member. Individuals holding full-time administrative appointments are not eligible.
Frequency: Two awards will be given annually - one for faculty and one for staff. The winners will be announced at the Fall Faculty Convocation.
Award Amount: $250 per person.
Award winners will receive a certificate of recognition and will be nominated for the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) Region II Bruce Tracy Award: NAFSA Region II Bruce Tracy Award.
This award is given to a NAFSA member in Region II whose professional and personal contributions to the fields of international education go beyond the normal expectation of the job. It may be someone who gives a great deal of personal time to programs for international or study abroad students or campus internationalization efforts, provides significant leadership at the regional or national levels, or simply reflects the ideals and goals of NAFSA through his/her professional commitment and dedication to the field. Check with Provost's Office if currently accepting nominations/applications.
Selection Process:
Provostial Global Learning Subcommittee will screen the applications/nominations and make recommendations to the Provost for the final decision.
Selection Criteria:
The award winner should exemplify characteristics and vision of excellence in advancing internationalization of the campus or curriculum at Fort Hays State University. Examples of internationalization activities considered favorably include, but shall not be limited to:
• Education abroad leadership
• International curriculum development
• Significant international collaboration for disciplinary instruction, research, or service
• Academic partnership development
• Leading curricular or co-curricular international activities
• Making contributions in recruiting international students
• International grant writing efforts
• Advising or assisting international students

2. Application/Nomination Letter
Whether you are the applicant or the nominator, please describe your accomplishments or nominee's accomplishments in support of this award. The award recipient should exemplify characteristics of excellence in advancing internationalization of the campus or internationalization of curriculum at Fort Hays State University. Examples of internationalization activities considered favorably include, but shall not be limited to:
