Graduate students in the Department of Health and Human Performance are provided with the preparation required for their professional careers. Students can choose from emphasis areas in exercise science, sport administration, and movement/sport studies. Graduate students are involved in teaching, lab instruction, project supervision, athletic training, personal training, intramural programming, coaching, and project supervision.
Aside from these hands-on experiences, internship opportunities will also enhance student's experiences. Service projects in the graduate department are not limited for students; they may choose to participate in programs such as, adult fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, and programming for special population, wellness programming, aquatic fitness and more. Collaborative experiences with Hays Medical Center - Center for Health Improvement are also available.
