Blackboard and Accessibility
Fort Hays State University is committed to creating an inclusive digital learning environment. Accessible course content ensures that all students - including those using assistive technologies - can fully engage with their coursework.
Blackboard Ally helps instructors improve the accessibility of their course content by identifying issues and providing guidance to fix them. For students, Ally automatically generates alternative formats - including audio, ePub, electronic braille, and translated versions - so every student can access materials in the way that works best for them.
ReadSpeaker provides text-to-speech functionality within Blackboard, allowing students to listen to course content, announcements, and discussion posts directly in their browser.
