HAYS, Kan. -- An appearance at Fort Hays State University by Alina Fernandez, daughter of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, has been canceled.

Fernandez's booking agency, Wolfman Productions, said that Fernandez missed her flight and no other flight was available to get her to Hays on time, according to George Jackson III, coordinator of the Office of Diversity Affairs.

Jackson said a decision has not been reached on whether to reschedule.
