Seventh annual bonfire to kick off Homecoming 2015 festivities

HAYS, Kan. -- Homecoming 2015 at Fort Hays State University will officially begin with a bonfire and pep rally on Thursday, Oct. 1, sponsored by the Alumni Association and the FHSU fraternity and sorority community.Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. on the east lawn near the Robbins Center. The event features speeches from the coaches of the athletic teams as well as appearances by the FHSU cheerleaders, Tiger Debs, President Martin and Victor E. Tiger. The public is invited.
The rally begins with the Victor E. March of students to the Robbins Center, which will start at 7 p.m. at Stadium Place Apartments and wind its way across campus, stopping at all residence halls. The march will meet the band at Hammond Hall to begin the final procession to the bonfire.
Students and the public and invited to bring canned items or give cash donations to support the Tiger Food Exchange.
