Spooky Science Café set for Oct. 30

HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University’s next Science Café will be held on Monday, Oct. 30.
This month’s presentation, entitled “Perhaps a corpse would be re-animated: The science behind Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein,” is sponsored by FHSU’s Science and Mathematics Education Institute (SMEI), will begin at 7 p.m. at The Venue in Thirsty’s Brew Pub & Grill, 2704 Vine.
Dr. Kim Perez, associate professor of history in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, will discuss how Enlightenment culture and science influenced Shelly’s famous work.
