Online Student Scholarships
The Sunflower Start Scholarship is automatically awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to new undergraduate online and graduate students at FHSU. Recipients must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Kansas resident
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

To qualify for this $500 scholarship, you must:
- Be a new, fully online student
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who does not reside in the state of Kansas
- Be degree-seeking
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on cumulative high school or undergraduate coursework
Full-time and part-time students, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, may apply.
Phi Theta Kappa members could receive a $500/year scholarship. Recipients must be new full-time transfer students enrolling fully online. Students who already hold a bachelor's degree, are non-U.S. citizens, or are part-time are not eligible. This scholarship is renewable for a second year with a 3.3 cumulative FHSU GPA.
Phi Theta Kappa Kansas All-Academic Team members are automatically awarded a $750/year scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for one additional year with a 3.3 cumulative FHSU GPA.

FHSU Scholarship Application
The FHSU Scholarship Application opens on September 15 and closes on February 15 of each year.
