FHSU Young Alumni Award Winner 2012

 Eric Heinze

Eric is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International and Area Studies at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He is the author of "Waging Humanitarian War: The Ethics, Law, and Politics of Humanitarian Intervention," is editor of "Justice, Sustainability, and Security: Global Ethics for the 21st Century," and is co-editor of "Ethics, Authority and War: Non-State Actors and the Just War Tradition". He is also the author of more than 25 scholarly articles and book chapters. In 2007 he was a member of a young American scholars delegation to the Republic of China. In 2009 he was a faculty fellow for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies in Tel Aviv, Israel. And in 2011 he received the University of Oklahoma's Gary B. Cohen Distinguished Faculty Award. We are proud of Eric's accomplishments and congratulate him on winning this year's Young Alumni Award!

FHSU's Department of Political Science congratulates Political Science major Braden Dreiling, Hays Sophomore, for receiving the first Dr. Edward H. Hammond Scholarship, a $2,500 award made possible by FHSU's Half Century Club to honor President Hammond for his 25 years of service to FHSU. Congratulations Braden!
