Agriculture Student Organizations
To accompany our experimental learning, small classroom size and personal mentorship students also get a chance to interact with each other and gain leadership experience with a wide variety of student organizations within the department.
Agronomy Club
If you're interested in plants, this club is for you! Consider joining the Crops Judging Team, which offers you a chance to work closely with other students and provide you with a valuable learning experience to take with you into your career after college. Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity
AGR is both a social and professional fraternity that focuses on leadership and staying active with the campus and community through volunteer activities. They participate in highway and alley cleanup as service projects and sell firewood to the community and work at a local bingo hall for fundraisers. Members of this fraternity have related career interests in agriculture, food, or fiber industries.
Block & Bridle Club
This club is a part of a national animal science organization. Our purpose is to promote interest in numerous fields of study. You will participate in fundraisers, a showing and fitting competition, Ag awareness, attend the National Block & Bridle Convention, and participate in many social functions. Collegiate Farm Bureau
Farm Bureau's collegiate leaders are active and engaged in sharing and educating others about the agriculture industry. We are an ag advocacy group dedicated to educating others through Ag in the Classroom, Beef Awareness Day, Food Checkout and other events. We participate in contests and learning sessions at the annual Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Convention each year and organize the Leaders in Agriculture Speaker series on campus. FHSU Rodeo Club
The Rodeo Club is open to all FHSU students. Compete in rodeo events throughout the region and hone your skills while building lasting friendships. You may also qualify for a rodeo scholarship to help finance your college education. For more information about the FHSU rodeo program, contact coaches Bronc Rumford or Ross Russell.
FHSU Livestock Judging Team
The Livestock Judging Team is open to all FHSU students with an interest in competitive livestock evaluation. Team members will gain skills in livestock selection and evaluation as well as leadership, decision making, teamwork, confidence and communication skills necessary to thrive in today's agriculture industry. Sigma Alpha Agriculture Sorority
Sigma Alpha is a professional agriculture sorority whose mission is to cultivate professional women in agriculture. They strive for achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service, and to further the development of excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture. Teaching Ag Group (TAG)
TAG is setup to help support agriculture literacy and advocacy. This club allows FHSU students to be surrounded by other individuals that are passionate about teaching agriculture. TAG works with local FFA chapters to allow for different learning experiences. This club helps open doors for students pursuing an agriculture education degree.
