Overview
Have you ever heard the phrase “OK, Boomer?” Or have you heard Millennial described as snowflakes needing participation trophies? Maybe you have experienced Generation X being described as burnouts and slackers? Often, our perceptions of other generations can lead to damages in organizational culture & even relationships among coworkers. With so many generations working and living today (including Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennial, Generation Z, and Gen Alpha), it can be overwhelming to figure out how to motivate & work with each. In this workshop, we will review each existing generation, the major world events they lived through that may have influenced their perceptions, & their common identifying characteristics, behaviors, and patterns. Next, we will delve into strategies for how to work with and ideas for motivating individuals from the generations that are currently in the workforce: Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials, and Gen Zs. This is your crash course in bridging the generation gap, combating ageism & improving organizational culture, regardless of what generation you fall into!
