Jaylen Adams

Jaylen Adams is a senior majoring in organizational leadership at FHSU. She is originally from Parker, Colorado and attended Chaparral High School. She has two older brothers, one who lives in Orlando, Florida and one that lives in Istanbul, Turkey. Her parents currently live in Castle Rock, CO. After completing her undergraduate degree, she hopes to begin the Master of Professional Studies program at FHSU. She hopes to work with a non-profit that’s mission is to help under privilege and at-risk youth.

Benjamin Bach

Ben Bach participates in the VALUE program virtually from Liberal, KS, and is majoring in organizational leadership. He currently works for Conestoga Energy Partners as a production manager at the organization’s ethanol plant. Ben joined the VALUE program simply to push himself in his studies at FHSU, and focus on a project important to him to gain a higher understanding of a particular topic, as well as receive guidance from a mentor. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time outside and doing some hunting. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children when he is not working or studying.

Haley Gomes

Haley joined FHSU from Highlands Ranch, CO, and is majoring in organizational leadership. Haley joined the VALUE program to be more proactive in practicing and refining her leadership skills. Upon graduation, she would like to go back home to Colorado and potentially develop a program in area hospitals to offer massage therapy to nurses, doctors, and patients in order to relieve stress. For fun, she enjoys doing just about anything outdoors and in nature and working on various projects with her ministries here in Hays. Her favorite foods are mac’n’cheese and pizza—or mac’n’cheese pizza!

Haydee Reyes

Haydee Reyes is a senior majoring in organizational leadership with a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in women and gender studies. She comes to FHSU from Olathe, KS. Haydee has started her graduate school search and is hoping to obtain a Master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs/College Student Personnel Administration, so that one day she may work in a university with first-year experience (orientation, transition, and retention efforts). In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and trying new foods.

Dustin Stanley

Originally from Bennington, KS, Dustin is a junior pursuing a degree in organizational leadership. He joined the VALUE program to push himself into a challenging environment because, without discomfort, growth doesn’t happen as quickly. Dustin enjoys applying principles from the degree program and his classes at his after school care job. He enjoys reading, playing the guitar, and playing basketball when free time surfaces.

Rebecca Stegman

Rebecca Stegman, from Hays, KS, is a junior double majoring in Organizational Leadership and Tourism & Hospitality Management at Fort Hays State University. Rebecca joined VALUE to challenge herself and sharpen the skills that she has learned through the leadership classes here at Fort Hays. She also likes the idea of having a mentor for the year while taking on a project that she chooses. Currently, Rebecca is working for SkyWest Airlines as a supervisor at the Hays Regional Airport. When she is not at the airport, she likes to spend her time outdoors making memories with her friends and family, especially her niece, Baylee. Rebecca is excited to see where this year takes her and the opportunities it presents.

Collette West

Collette West is a virtual student majoring in Organizational Leadership from Centerville, Utah. She decided to join VALUE to enhance her leadership skills before she enters the workforce. She is excited to challenge herself and learn more about leadership through her own research project. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing Crossfit, hiking, skiing, and participating in anything active and competitive.
