Joel Williams, Associate Professor of Theatre and Director of Technical Theatre at Fort Hays State University, previously served as Instructor, Theatrical Designer, and Technical Director at Independence Community College, Woodward Academy, and Ottawa University. Joel’s specialties are in Scenic design and construction and Lighting design. He has worked professionally as a Technical Director, Scenic, Sound, Projection, or Lighting Designer with Aris’ Theatre in Atlanta Georgia, Central Missouri Repertory in Warrensburg Missouri, Imago Dei in Kansas City Missouri, and The Helen Hocker Theatre in Topeka Kansas.
Among his favorite productions are; Desdemona; a play about a handkerchief, Les Misérables, Radium Girls, Playing For Time, and Bat Boy The Musical.
Joel Holds a B.A. in Theatre from Ottawa University, and a Master of Theatre Studies from Southern Oregon University.
