Biography:
Dr. Kaley Klaus is Director of Professional & Continuing Education at Fort Hays State University, where she leads the development and delivery of workforce-focused training, consulting, and non-credit education initiatives. With expertise spanning leadership development, continuing education, assessment, and organizational learning, she collaborates with industry, community, and academic partners to design innovative professional learning opportunities that address emerging workforce and organizational needs.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Klaus served as Assistant Professor of Leadership at Fort Hays State University, where she taught undergraduate and graduate leadership courses in organizational leadership, leadership theory, and leadership development. Her academic and professional work has focused heavily on leadership education, student learning assessment, online learning, and experiential education. She has authored and co-authored numerous scholarly publications and conference presentations related to leadership education, organizational leadership, and assessment practices. Other areas of expertise include organizational behavior and systems and leadership development.
Dr. Klaus earned a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University of Saint Louis, a Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a certificate in Leadership Studies from Fort Hays State University. She is a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach and an active member of the Association of Leadership Educators, where she has served as President, Vice President & Conference Chair, and Director-at-Large.
