Fort Hays State University has teamed up with the Phillips Fundamental Learning Center in Wichita, KS to deliver a 15-hour professional development microcredential course, Supporting Readers who Struggle with Dyslexia.
This course gives P - 12 educators, or anyone seeking to support a learner with dyslexia, a comprehensive overview of the history, theory and instructional practices in the science of reading and structured literacy for students with dyslexia. The course includes lectures, demonstrations, simulations, assessments of knowledge, and feedback. Learn pedagogical techniques that are evidence-based and specifically tailored to address dyslexia related challenges.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive a digital microcredential from FHSU, exhibiting 15 hours of professional development and the skills earned.
