Emphasis will be placed on the contextualized aspects of second language learning and the preparation of activities, materials, and evaluation techniques for classroom use.
READ 884: Literacy Development
This course explores underlying language and literacy development from psycholinguistic perspective, allowing candidates to focus on the science behind how students learn various aspects of language. Classroom techniques to foster emergent literacy development are stressed.
