International Internships
One unique component of study abroad is participating in a customized international internship. Internships can be done as a standalone program for academic credit or can be done in coordination with a study abroad. Many of our affiliated program providers offer internships in many countries around the world. If you are interested in doing an internship abroad, please schedule an advising session with the FHSU Study Abroad Coordinator.
Requirements for participation
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be in good academic standing.
- Students should be entering their sophomore or junior year or fall of senior year.
- Students must have completed at least 30 UG credit hours before their program term begins.
- Students must receive strong recommendations from their academic advisor and faculty member.
- Students will pay the application fees as required by the affiliated provider.

Application Process:
- Create an account on Tiger Travel and complete your Traveler Profile.
- Complete the Program Matching Quiz on Tiger Travel.
- Schedule an appointment with the Study Abroad and Exchange Coordinator.
- Meet with your academic advisor and discuss your academic plan for National Student Exchange.
- Apply for your program on Tiger Travel by the deadline.
