Praxis Registration Troubleshooting
If you are having difficulty finding available Praxis test sites and test dates on the ETS Praxis website, please read through the following insights which can help alleviate many issues:
- You MUST have an ETS Praxis account set up, and you must be SIGNED IN to that account before moving forward with the registration process.
- If you have previously set up an account to take the PPAT Assessment, that account will NOT work for the Praxis licensure exams. It is a separate account.
- If you are not logged in to your Praxis account, the test site locator on the ETS Praxis website will not populate with Prometric test centers when searching for specific locations and test dates. The sites that do populate are merely ETS-based test centers. You MUST be logged in to your Praxis account to find Prometric test centers such as ours in Hays, KS.
- Once you are logged in, go to “Schedule a Test” and enter the State where you wish to test.
- Search for the specific Praxis test you want to take, and click on it.
- Enter the zip code or city of your preferred location, and it will take you to a list of available test centers in that area.
- Select the city where you wish to take your exam, and the next screen will provide the available dates and times. If there are no dates available, the days will be shaded gray.
If test dates are not showing after completing the above steps, it may be that ETS has not finalized the upcoming test schedule for Praxis exams.
