Get Involved in Student Organizations
Getting involved on campus allows you to deepen your college experience and develop leadership skills. It's also a way to network, make friends and have fun.
Epsilon Pi Tau
Would you like to be part of the leading honor society for technology in Kansas and the nation?
Epsilon Pi Tau recognizes academic excellence and prepares you for technology professions. It has strong ties to corporations, professional associations, government agencies and nongovernmental organizations. As a member, you can participate in a number of events, including conferences and publications.
To be a member:
- You need to be registered in a technology-related higher education academic program
- You need to have at least 30 semester hours of college courses completed and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 in major courses
Demonstration of leadership is also encouraged. National membership fees are $25. Local membership fees are $5.
Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association (TEECA)
If you're registered in an Applied Technology class, you can join the Technology Education and Engineering Collegiate Association.
- Increase your knowledge and exposure to technology.
- Hone leadership skills and take part in competitions and conferences.
Many of our students involved with TEECA have earned top honors at regional and national technology competitions.
Fee: $5 for a one-year membership.

Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE)
A not-for-profit education association, the ACTE was founded in 1926 and has more than 25,000 members. It offers a wealth of information on career and technical education.
Journal of Technology Studies
This is the flagship journal of Epsilon Pi Tau.
International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA)
The professional organization for technology, innovation, design, and engineering educators.
Office of Vocational and Adult Education
The OVAE supports programs related to adult education and literacy, career and technical education, and community colleges.
