Partnership Overview
Fort Hays State University (FHSU) partners with the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) in Cambodia to offer comprehensive undergraduate and graduate dual-degree programs. Through innovative 4+0 cross-border programs and flexible study abroad options, students can earn U.S.-accredited FHSU degrees while studying primarily in Cambodia, with optional opportunities to study at FHSU's campus in Hays, Kansas.
This collaboration allows Cambodian students to access a high-quality American education without the requirement of studying in the United States, while also offering the flexibility to spend one semester, one year, or two years on FHSU's campus in Kansas if desired.
Academic Programs
Undergraduate Programs (4+0 Cross-Border)
Students complete all four years of coursework at AUPP in Cambodia and earn dual degrees from both AUPP and FHSU. Studying at FHSU in Hays, Kansas, is optional and can be done for one semester, one year, or two years based on student preference.
Bachelor's Degree Options:
- BS in Computer Science
- BS in Information Networking and Telecommunications, Concentration: Information Systems
- BS in Information Networking and Telecommunications, Concentration: Web and Mobile Applications Development
- BS in Political Science (from FHSU) with BA in International Relations and Diplomacy (from AUPP)
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism and Hospitality Management
Graduate Programs (1+1 and Cross-Border Options)
Graduate students have the option to complete a 1+1 program (one year at AUPP, one year at FHSU) or complete their degrees entirely in Cambodia with optional study periods at FHSU in Kansas.
Master's Degree Options:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Dual degree program
- Master of Science in Computer Science (AI Specialization) – Dual degree program
- Master of Science in Education
- Master of Professional Studies in Web and Mobile Applications Development
Scholarship Opportunity:
Students transferring to study on-campus at FHSU in Hays, Kansas, are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship per semester.
To qualify, students must:
- Be registered full-time, and
- Remain in good academic standing with FHSU.
