Partnership Overview
Fort Hays State University (FHSU) partners with Universidad Privada del Valle (UNIVALLE) in Bolivia to deliver an international dual-degree program that combines the best of Bolivian and American higher education. Through flexible 4+0 and 3+1 undergraduate pathways, students can earn degrees recognized in both Bolivia and the United States.
The collaboration supports FHSU’s mission to expand access to global education while enabling UNIVALLE students to pursue U.S.-accredited academic experiences without leaving Bolivia or by completing part of their studies in Hays, Kansas.
Academic Pathways
Program options:
- 4+0 Program: Students complete all four years of coursework at UNIVALLE in Bolivia and earn an FHSU degree entirely on-site through FHSU’s international dual-degree curriculum.
- 3+1 Program: Students complete the first three years at UNIVALLE and the final year on campus at FHSU in Hays, Kansas.
Both pathways result in an internationally recognized Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from FHSU.

Student Scholarship
Students transferring to study on-campus at FHSU in Hays, Kansas, are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship per semester.
To qualify, students must:
- Be registered full-time, and
- Remain in good academic standing with FHSU.
