KAMS Application
Kansas Students:
1. Complete the KAMS Application FORM
2. Complete the KAMS Application Packet
- 10th Grade Applicants: Suggested application deadline of April 1.
- Meet all program requirements for admission.
- Early admission option for 9th graders.
- Students must submit all sections of the application packet to be reviewed for admission.
Section One of the application packet is all about you. How old are you? Where are you from? What grade are you? What high school do you go to? These are all questions that you will find in our fillable application.
Section Two you will tell us who you are. Explaining to us your various achievements and what makes you a good fit for the KAMS program and what you will gain by attending through essay questions and lists.
Section Three is where you will have your parents, a math teacher, science teacher, english teacher, counselor, and mentor evaluate your rediness for the KAMS program and why as well as any areas for improvement (evaluations should be sent directly to KAMS and should not be given back to the applicant). Additionally, your counselor will profide a school info report along with your high school's graduation requirements, grading scale, and transcripts to the program.
3. Submit your KAMS Application
- Send application to KAMS@fhsu.edu in PDF format.
- Wait for a decision to be made on your application by the Admissions Committee.
4. New Student Onboarding
- Upon acceptance to the KAMS program students will begin completing onboarding tasks.
- Activate Tiger NEet ID and create a password.
- Log in to Workday account using Tiger Net ID and Password and finish the onboarding tasks within.
- Pay Orientation Fee and complete the event registration form (KAMS will have their own seperate orientation date).
- Submit your fhsu housing contract.
- Submit KAMS Required Forms
- Complete a math placement exam
- Schedule your enrollement appointment
- Continue to excel in your classes and ask questions whenever they come up!
