Artful Minds is for any Art and Design major who is interested in connecting with like-minded artists and designers in order to broaden one’s artistic experience. You will delve into the world of art and design beyond the classroom through creative activities and discussions.

Designed specifically for first-year business students, Everybody’s Business helps you build relationships with your peers and business faculty from the moment you arrive on campus. You’ll be part of a supportive, tight-knit group that shares your goals and interests—creating a sense of belonging from day one.

Helps Starts Here is for those who have the desire and passion to work in a helping profession. You will learn about a profession that nurtures the growth of or addresses the problems of a person's physical, psychological, intellectual, emotional, or spiritual well-being. You will grow from a natural helper to a professional helper in one of the many helping professions.

Do you have interest in working in a health care environment to deliver patient care while using technology?  Imaging with Tiger Pride explores option routes students have access to through FHSU Medical Diagnostic Imaging programs. Students learn through department events, laboratory showcases, and alumni speaker events different pathways into career opportunities. Students build community through fun gatherings and learning nights that interface directly with current program students.

Are you ready to make a difference both locally and globally? Mission: Engage brings together students who are passionate about languages, culture, travel, history, community, and global engagement. Rooted in FHSU’s mission of fostering engaged global citizen-leaders, this LLC is your opportunity to learn, serve, and lead with purpose.

Nightingale Power LLC is designed to support first-year students as they transition into college life. Rooted in the legacy of Florence Nightingale, it focuses on building a strong foundation for students interested in nursing by introducing them to campus resources, academic success strategies, and the Hays community. Through interactive activities, discussions, and connections with peers and faculty, students gain valuable insight into both university life and the nursing profession, helping them feel confident and prepared for their academic journey.

The Opportunities Through Education Living Learning Community is more than just a place to live—it’s a launchpad for belonging, growth, and lifelong connections. Over a two-year experience, students not only become an integral part of the University and the Department of Teacher Education, but they also begin building a strong network of peers who share their passion for teaching and making a difference. Together, they learn, support one another, and celebrate successes both big and small, creating friendships that last long beyond graduation. This LLC is for students interested in pursuing whitecoat professional careers, such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, chiropractic, and optometry. This LLC will surround you with other students with like-minded goals, taking similar courses, and connect you with resources and extra-curriculars to help you reach those goals.

#AdultingTroop2026 is a hands-on learning community for students who want to level up their life skills. From basic home and vehicle maintenance to physical and mental wellness, this group empowers students to confidently navigate adulthood through practical experiences, peer support, and real-world challenges.

Members of the 1st to Finish Learning Community connect through their shared experience of being the first in their family to go to college.  With an understanding of the unique experience of first-generation college students, the LLC provides support, resources, and opportunities for students to achieve academic success and create a strong support network of fellow students and FHSU staff. Students take courses that will help expand their academic program and set them up to earn additional credentials.

AI Tigers is a Living Learning Community where students from any major explore how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing their field. In the coming years, the development and proliferation of AI is anticipated to enable scientific breakthroughs, create new art forms, and open possibilities that were unimaginable a few short years ago. This is where you come in: we need highly motivated students with diverse academic interests to help us imagine this future and carve out a path to it. Through hands-on workshops and collaborative projects, you'll use and build AI tools with peers who share your drive and curiosity. Not interested in programming? More of a humanities student? No problem: technical background is not required; just an open mind, serious academic interest, and a drive to explore.

Athletes Today, Leaders Tomorrow is for student-athletes at Fort Hays State University who have completed their NCAA eligibility certification with a signed Athletic Financial Aid Agreement. It’s designed to help these high-achieving students apply the discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership they’ve built in athletics to meaningful career paths and leadership opportunities—preparing them to thrive long after the final whistle.

Advantages of participating in the Career Ready Tigers LLC include gaining the skills employers are looking for such as career and self-development, teamwork, communication, leadership and professionalism (NACE Core Competencies), participating in career fairs and mock interviews, as well as gaining well rounded experiences that will prepare students for first professional jobs, graduate school, and internships.

Fort Fit at FHSU connects students with shared interests in fitness, health, and wellness. This learning community combines academic support, personal growth, and healthy living to help students succeed inside and outside the classroom.

The Go Global learning community is built for students who want to explore culture both here at Fort Hays State University and around the world. Together, we dive into traditions, perspectives, and global issues while connecting with peers who share a passion for intercultural learning. As part of this community, you’ll not only engage in meaningful conversations and activities, but also gain support and preparation for study abroad opportunities. It’s the perfect way to broaden your perspective, build lifelong connections, and become a more globally minded student. By joining Go Global you will have a chance to explore the world.

The L3: Live. Learn. Lead. learning community is open to all students who want to meet new people, learn about leadership, and serve others. Members take two dedicated courses together: LDRS 200: Discovering Leadership, which fulfills a general education requirement, and LDRS 302: Introduction to Leadership Behaviors, which counts toward the Leadership Certificate that can be added to any degree. After completing these two courses, students need just one additional class to earn the certificate. Beyond the classroom, L3 students enjoy weekly and monthly social events hosted by the community and take part in planning and leading a Spring service-learning trip outside of Hays.

Outdoor adventure and wild wild word of sport s is for the FHSU students who love outdoor activities like camping, fishing, boating, BBQ, and many more. It is also for the student who loves to participate in a variety of Sporting and Recreational activities. If the outdoors, as well as a variety of Sports and recreational activities are something you love this Learning Community is for you.

Learn about all aspects of sports/athletics that occur outside the lines.  The LLC is led by an industry veteran of 25 years who can connect you to other pros in your individual areas of interest.  You will interact with sports professionals throughout the industry to grow your personal network and gain a better understanding of the sports business.  All majors can be involved in the sports industry, and questions are encouraged.
