FHSU Online Course Development
Course Development
All courses developed by TILT and offered through FHSU Online must go through one of three quality assurance pathways.
- Pathway I: A course that has not been previously developed for online/blended delivery and does not predominantly consist of packaged content from commercial publishers to deliver the course (e.g., homework management platforms and preprogrammed Lab activity).
- Pathway II: A course must be 3 years or older and/or 50% of the content has changed to be eligible for redevelopment (e.g. delivery method changed, modifying current course content and/or adding new lectures). Note: This 50% of content is not primarily created by commercial publishers (e.g. homework management platforms and preprogrammed Lab activity).
- Z-course design. The Z-course proposal needs to be approved by the OER committee. The OER committee and the course developer will determine whether the Z-course should go forward with the course development process.
Review the Online/Hybrid Course Development Policies and Procedures for an overview of how we'll work with you to develop (or re-develop) the course to best meet your goals and objectives.
