Academic Warning
Academic Warning is assigned when a student on Academic Caution fails to earn a term GPA of 2.0 or higher at the end of their next semester. Academic Warning indicates that a student is continuing to not meet the university's academic standards. Students on Academic Warning must improve their academic performance if they want to continue to register at FHSU. All students on Academic Warning are therefore required to enroll in UNIV 103 (Succeeding in College: Academic Recovery), a 1-credit course designed to support academic improvement.
Students on Academic Warning must earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to return to Good standing. This process may take multiple semesters. Students may continue on Academic Warning if their term GPA is a 2.0 or higher even if their cumulative GPA is still below a 2.0.
- Students on Academic Warning who do not earn a term GPA of at least a 2.0 will move to Academic Restriction.
All students on Academic Warning should check their financial aid status.
