Partnership Overview
Fort Hays State University (FHSU) partners with the University of Taxila in Myanmar to offer accredited undergraduate degrees through flexible cross-border models. The partnership supports university students in Myanmar by combining high-quality American curricula with local leadership-focused education. Students may earn an FHSU degree while studying primarily in Myanmar or choose to spend part of their degree program at FHSU’s campus in Hays, Kansas.
Degree Programs and Models
Available Undergraduate Degrees at FHSU for Taxila Students:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Organizational Leadership
Program Structure:
- 4+0 Cross-Border: Complete all four years of coursework in Myanmar, delivered by FHSU faculty or qualified local instructors.
- Study Abroad Option: Students may choose to study at FHSU’s campus in Hays, Kansas for one or more years, or a semester, as desired.
Instructional Models:
- FHSU can teach a minimum of 60 credit hours (typically two years of coursework) or 30 credit hours (one year), with the remainder fulfilled by Taxila University faculty using a curriculum approved and supervised by FHSU.
Scholarships
Students who choose to study full-time and in person at FHSU’s campus in Hays, Kansas are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship per semester, provided they are in good academic standing.

Founded in 2015 by Taxila Education Group Limited (TEGL), formerly Hexagon Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., University of Taxila’s mission is to deliver quality, practical higher education focused on leadership development.
