Library Partners
Forsyth Library is honored to have several partners in learning to serve the students of Fort Hays State University. Our partners include:
MakerSpace
The FHSU MakerSpace provides an area for any FHSU student or Hays community member to build, tinker and explore projects and ideas within the STEM fields. As of Spring 2024, the MakerSpace will be temporarily located in Picken Hall 102 until the Forsyth Library renovation is complete.
Writing Center
The Writing Center is staffed with trained consultants who will help you polish your writing - from choosing topics to structuring essays to perfecting documentation style. As of Spring 2024, the Writing Center will be temporarily located in Rarick Hall 157 until the Forsyth Library renovation is complete.
Honors College
The Honors College is a program of distinction designed to welcome the brightest young minds of our university to provide a challenging curriculum across the range of programs for academically gifted and ambitious students. As of Spring 2024, the Honors College will be temporarily located in Picken Hall 123 until the Forsyth Library renovation is complete.
The Institute for New Media Studies
The Institute for New Media Studies is located in Malloy Hall 106 and is dedicated to the transdisciplinary study of new media as it impacts human communication. The Institute will have a new laboratory and collaboration space in the newly renovated Forsyth Library.
